Particle Counter RY-P300

Description

The Solid Particle Counter RY-PC300 is designed for the measurement of the particle number concentration (PN) in exhaust gases of combustion engines according to the specifications of the AU equipment guide version 6.

The RY-PC300 operates according to the measuring principle of a diffusion charger particle counter. The measuring principle is based on the attachment of ions to the particles by diffusion. Through the diffusion charging of the particles and the subsequent measurement of the electric current caused by the charged particles, the number of particles can be determined.

Sampling is performed via a probe with a hose. Via a water separator or a Volatile Particle Remover (VPR), condensate or volatile particle material is removed from the aerosol upstream of the sensor so that conditioned sample gas can be fed to the measuring cell.

The measured values are shown on a display integrated in the device. A PC is required for operation, which, with the aid of the operator software, enables sequential control for the examination of a motor vehicle with a compression ignition engine in accordance with the specifications from the AU equipment manual. Communication with the measuring device is wireless via Bluetooth, USB or WLAN.
