How to plan a sustainable social event
We want to support you in making your social event as sustainable as possible. With just a few measures, you can reduce your resource consumption and make a positive contribution:
- Travel & mobility: Encourage your guests to travel by public transport or use e-mobility. If possible, choose a venue with good public transport connections.
- Catering & food: Give preference to regional, seasonal, and vegetarian options. Choose catering partners who use reusable systems and avoid food waste.
- Materials & equipment: Use reusable materials, digital information instead of print media, and avoid single-use products.
- Waste & resources: Plan for waste separation and reduce packaging material as much as possible.
- Accessibility & inclusion: Take into account the different needs of your participants, e.g., by providing easily accessible premises and clear communication.
- Transparent communication: Inform your guests about your sustainability measures – small incentives reinforce the effect.
