Scalable vacuum soldering system

PINK now offers the proven vacuum soldering systems type VADU in a new modern and modular design. The new system concept is based on modules, which are configured and mounted  separately and then are interconnected during final assembly.

The base type VADU 200XL consists of a soldering and a cooling module and is suitable for small batch production. The expansion of the system by one or two preheating modules turn the system type into a VADU 300XL or VADU 400XL. According to individual customer requests,
the systems can be equipped with additional customized options, such as formic acid equipment, transfer systems, handling units etc.

Sintering technology by PINK
For extraordinarily reliable, highly thermally conductive bonds
By the use of PINK sintering systems you can achieve sintering connections, which are characterized by reliable, resilient and highly temperature resistant bonds. The in situ reduction of the workpiece‘s surfaces before and after the sintering process allows the use of a wider variety of metals and facilitates following production steps.

The patented sintering system SIN200+ modular is a highly flexible system, which is suitable for various production demands from laboratory up to series production, as the system is modular designed and can be operated as a batch system or an automated inline system with different preheating and/or cooling modules. The substrate temperature, the atmospheric pressure and gas composition during the entire heating, sintering and cooling procedure within the vacuum chamber/s is exactly controllable at any time. In combination with the dynamic adaptability of the pressing force the system provides a wide array of novel process and production possibilities.

The compact soldering system VADU 100 is equipped with separate zones for soldering and cooling and can be operated with paste as well as preforms.

Due to its small dimensions and the easy operation, the batch system is very suitable for production of small series and in laboratories for research applications.

PINK application and F&E-services for sintering technology
With its application and R&D services PINK supports its customers from the very beginning of developments to series production. Starting with demonstration and soldering/sintering trials, PINK provides feasibility studies of new packaging concepts and assembles customer samples. After that PINK evaluates and optimizes UPH, yield and quality. Essential process know-how is given to the customer‘s engineers and technicians by trainings. The sinter equipment SIN 20 is developed to support R&D and institutes in setup,
evaluation and optimization of sintering processes.

The SIN 20 is using PINK’s well known, approved and patented equilibrates-vacuumtechnology,
based on the technical principle of pressure equalization. This allows sintering in perfect N2 atmosphere as well as in reductive atmosphere like formic acid. Cu substrates as well as substrates with an Au or Ag finish can be sintered.
